Chicken pirates. Ancient relics. A dying ocean worth saving. The King's fleet is closing in,and the Glowing Tide ebbs with every passing night.
About The Authors
The Glowing Tide series exists because a second grader wrote a story about a chicken pirate fighting a kraken, and her father wanted to nurture that literary spark. Kathryne Barnes created Captain Chickbeard. Joseph Stanfield took her creation and asked the questions every storyteller lives for — what if this world were bigger, stranger, and more dangerous than anyone expected? Kathryne brings the characters and the ideas that make the series breathe. Joseph brings the structure, the sentences, and a generous sprinkling of dad jokes. It's a family project in the truest sense: built from a daughter's imagination and a father's determination to show his child that she is capable of anything she puts her mind to.
Book One: The Spindrift Tear
The first adventure in the Glowing Tide series — Captain Chickbeard's dungeon escape doesn't go quite as planned, and what follows is a race across uncharted waters with the fate of the sea hanging in the balance.
